Good afternoon everyone, I keep replying to the last email to the troop I have and recognize that we will need to update our email list soon. We just returned from a camp out at the Burn’s property where we worked on Map and Compass, cooking, and had a great time in the pond. I wanted to pass on a summary of events that the troop has planned through the end of the year so that parents and scouts can mark their calendars. [ View the full calendar here. ]
- Monday Sept. 14 at 7:00 PM will be our Court of Honor. Please be sure to wear your Class A uniform and bring a snack or drink.
- Monday Sept. 21 will be troop elections, please try to be present
- Webolos Woods will Sept. 18-20
- The Popcorn Drive has begun and door to door sales are encouraged
- OA Fall Fellowship will be Oct. 9-11. Details are at muscogeelodge.org
- The District Camporee at McEntire ANG Base will be Oct. 2-4
- Wednesday Night Live at LSUMC will be Oct. 21 and the Scouts are asked to serve
- Nov. 13-15 the troop will have a campout at Poinsett State Park (plans are to hike a 10 mike section of the Palmetto Trail)
- November 21 will be Scout Day at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia
- Monday Dec. 14 at 7:00 PM will a Court of Honor
Our September service project will be at the Animal Shelter. The date will be shared soon 🙂 (meaning I didn’t write it down) Blake Wager’s Eagle Ceremony date is still be worked out too.
